This Clefairy was distributed via serial code to players of all Generation VIII games at the Pokémon Centers in Japan from September 3 to 11, 2022 in commemoration of the Otsukimi festival in Japan. A pamphlet with three serial codes could be obtained during the distribution period, but in order to obtain it, the recipient must imitate the move Metronome. The codes are single-use; one of the codes on the pamphlet is valid for Sword and Shield, the second is for Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and the last is for Legends: Arceus. The codes expired on September 30, 2022.


These Pokémon were distributed via serial code to players of Pokémon Sword and Shield at the Japanese screenings of Pokémon Heroes: Latios & Latias from August 11, 2022, Jirachi: Wish Maker from August 19, 2022, or The Rise of Darkrai from August 26, 2022 in Japanese movie theatres. These screenings were held in commemoration of Pokémon's 25th anniversary. These codes were distributed until September 8, 2022 and all expired on September 30, 2022. All of these serial codes can be redeemed multiple times on the same save file, provided the player has multiple codes.


These Regigigas were distributed via serial code to players of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends: Arceus at the South Korean screening of Giratina and the Sky Warrior from June 1 to July 31, 2022. The serial codes are shared between the aforementioned games. Unlike most Korean movie distributions, it was only possible to redeem one Regigigas per save file.


These Piplup were distributed via serial code to players of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends: Arceus at the Pokémon Centers in Japan from February 5 to 24, 2022 during the "Pocha Marche" promotion for some limited edition Piplup themed merchandise available in select stores as part of the larger プロジェクトポッチャマ (Project Pochama) marketing campaign. A pamphlet with two serial codes could be obtained by telling a store employee the phrase "Pochama Daisuki" during the distribution period. The codes are single-use, one of the codes on the pamphlet is valid for Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, while the other is valid for Legends: Arceus. These Piplup have 20 IVs in every stat except for Special Defense, which is set at 28.


This Happiny is being distributed via serial code to players of all Generation VIII games at Pokémon Center stores across Japan and Singapore if they visit during the month of their birthday, but only if they provide proof of their date of birth and Nintendo Switch. The codes are being distributed from November 1, 2021 to October 31, 2022. Players can use these codes in Pokémon Sword, Shield, Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, or Legends: Arceus; the codes are single use, but valid in any of the aforementioned games. This Pokémon has Japanese tags unless redeemed in an English game.


These Pokémon were distributed to players who entered a serial code included in the Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter on October 7, 2021. Players needed to sign up for the Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter and opt-in to email marketing by September 25, 2021. They included a Shiny Celebi and a Dada Zarude. The codes expired on December 31, 2021.


These Pokémon were distributed to players who preordered tickets to the twenty-third movie, Secrets of the Jungle. They included a Shiny Celebi, a regular Zarude and a Dada Zarude. Multiple redemptions of these Pokémon are allowed on a single game, provided the player had preordered multiple tickets and consequently had multiple serial codes.


These Pokémon were distributed to players who entered the codes from the "Mythical Pokémon Get Challenge" (Japanese: 幻のポケモンゲットチャレンジ) onto the official site in exchange for a serial code. Pokémon Scraps could be found in participating types of Pokémon merchandise starting on November 20, 2020.


The number of codes entered determined what type of serial code was received; one Pokémon Scrap resulted in a Genesect code, five resulted in a code for ten pieces of Dynite Ore, ten resulted in a code for Poké Ball Set 1 (consisting of a Fast Ball, a Level Ball, and a Love Ball), 13 resulted in a Volcanion code, 16 resulted in a code for ten pieces of Dynite Ore, 20 resulted in a code for Poké Ball Set 2 (consisting of a Moon Ball, a Heavy Ball, a Friend Ball, and a Lure Ball), 23 resulted in a Marshadow code, 27 resulted in a code for Poké Ball Set 3 (consisting of a Safari Ball and a Sport Ball), and 30 resulted in a Master Ball code. The serial codes could be redeemed from November 20, 2020 to April 30, 2021.


This Pokémon was distributed to players who inserted a serial code that was either given away at various locations in select countries or the Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter. These codes all expired on March 31, 2021.
